Best And Worst of This Week

I used to sometimes do Best And Worst in my other blog, and I thought that Saturday nights would be a good time to do Best And Worst for the week. Even though technically it is 2:12 on Sunday morning. I never go to sleep early when I have the option of being awake at night, but I gotta go to bed soon anyways so my sleep schedule doesn’t get too messed up. But anyways… worst first I guess!

Worst Of the Week

Chuck got really sick on Friday. He had a double lung transplant a few years ago, and he’s on a ton of medications. Some of them make him lose his appetite as a side effect, but also he’s supposed to eat when he takes them, so that creates trouble! He got really really really sick to his stomach. Dana came over to help him but I stayed outside because I thought he probably wouldn’t want be hanging around watching him barf. I watered the garden but I was crying the whole time because I was scared, so I went to my swing and swung until my butt hurt, and it helped me calm down. I was outside for a long time, and when I got hungry I ate some peas from the garden. But then I heard an ambulance coming, so I went inside and took the elevator to the second floor, and when I looked over the balcony I could see the ambulance, and I went down and the door was open at Chuck’s house and the paramedics were there. I was really scared that he was dying. But the paramedics seemed barely concerned,so that made me feel better, even though also the paramedics seemed a little not super smart.

But it turned out okay, they just gave him pain and anti-nausea medicine, and he didn’t even have to stay overnight. I went to the restaurant because it was karaoke night, and I tried to have fun even though every time I thought of Chuck I started feeling bad. But by the end he was already home and Dana said I could go there, so I did, and we all lived happily ever after for the rest of the night.

Best of the Week

I don’t know, it was sort of a crappy week as far as weeks go. But one good thing is that there is an organization here that helps people with mental illness to apply for social security, and I had an appointment there on Thursday and the lady started helping me fill out the applications. I was really glad I found the organization, because everyone I asked for help before that said I probably wouldn’t even qualify because I have a job. But it turned out that I don’t make enough for it to disqualify me. So I’m going to have another appointment this week, and probably lots of appointments in the future. It’s hard to get SSI, but it’s a little easier if an organization is helping you because I guess they just take you more seriously.

Also I got some UV resin to seal my rocks, and once I get the hang of it they’re going to be really cool. But this week some of them were a little wonky because I’m still learning and practicing. I’m getting a UV lamp that I can put the rocks under, which will help a lot, because right now I just have to hold a black light over them for 5 minutes and it gets old very quickly.

Okay, I’m gonna go to sleep now, because actually I’m. It feeling so good myself right now. Leave me a comment and say hi!
